About Jamie Kelly & YTherapy
“I believe in empowering people to take charge of their mental health and wellbeing before reaching a point of crisis.” – Jamie Kelly
YTherapy is a private Dramatherapy service based in Angel & Islington London. It was founded in 2017 so that mental health services could be accessed by more people in the community. This service offers creative therapies and counselling. It is especially suited to adults affected by childhood and relational trauma (eg. abuse, neglect, violence, separation, loss and bereavement).
The YTherapy approach to therapy for trauma is both creative and holistic, tailored to meet your specific needs. We address trauma and its impact on the mind, body and how we connect and make relationships with people.
The recovery model and therapeutic approach is based on theories, research and practice for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD).
My name is Jamie Kelly and I am an HCPC registered Dramatherapist.
With over 10 years of clinical experience in the field of mental health, addictions and trauma, I have worked in education, healthcare, social care and criminal justice systems (including psychiatric hospitals, prisons and specialist psychotherapy clinics).
I have my own Professional Indemnity Insurance and hold a cleared Enhanced DBS certificate.
